Warrumbungle National Park
Warrumbungles Intro Grand High Tops Breadknife Split Rock Animals

In October 2002, Joshua, Catherine and their dad went for a short camping trip to the Warrumbungle National Park near Coonabarabran, about 420km north-west of our home at Springwood.

The Warrumbungle Ranges have many volcanic formations which are in fact volcanic plugs where the rest of the volcano around it has eroded away




There are several of these plugs rising out of the surrounding ranges as shown above and at left, but perhaps the best known formation in the partk is The Breadknife
